The MMA promotion carried out a Twitter poll, with the rematch pitting Diaz and McGregor getting the fans nod.
If you cast your mind back to March of 2016, Diaz replaced an injured Rafael Dos Anjos to fight McGregor on a short notice at UFC 196.

The American produced an epic upset, submitting McGregor in the second round, giving him his first, and only, taste of defeat inside the famed Octagon.
A rematch was immediately ordered.
Diaz and McGregor once again fought at welterweight, with the Irishman redeeming his loss, eking out a majority decision in an instant classic.

Back-and-forth exchanges left fans in awe at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The then-UFC featherweight king repeatedly tagged Diaz, dropping him, who returned fire, landing his own brutal shots including his signature 'Stockton Slap'.
But, McGregor powered through, eventually securing the victory.

A few years removed from their incredible battle, it's now been acknowledged as the best fight inside the storied Octagon.
Diaz vs. McGregor pipped light-heavyweight title bout Jon Jones vs. Alexander Gustafsson.
The Swedish 'Mauler' gave then-205lbs champion a huge fright.

The challenger successfully landed a surprising takedown, while connecting on Jones' chin.
However, 'Bones' ultimately defended his title after mustering a masterful performance, nearly finishing the fight with a destructive spinning elbow.
