Zubaira Tukhugov, a member of Khabib Nurmagomedov's team, has been bragging about attacking Conor McGregor on social media.

The UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib lost his head after tapping out McGregor in the UFC 229 main event, living up to his 'Eagle' nickname by flying over the Octagon to get at his opponent's camp and entering a brawl with them, specifically going after Dillon Danis.

And then before you knew it, Tukhugov (the guy in the red shirt), jumped the cage and started swinging at McGregor, who had previously threw serious shade at the 27-year old on Instagram.

The Chechen man was very smug about what went down, boasting about his sucker punch attack on McGregor.

"I slapped him as promised. I promised to make him answer for his words and I did," Tukhugov said in a video post on social media, according to the translation of journalist Karim Zidan.

Those words he's referring to are of course Conor's comments on Instagram and Tukhugov, who has fought four times in UFC had been very vocal about wanting to get revenge.

"If you are a man - if you're a Chechen man, American man, Ireland man - you tell him [to his face]," he told MMA Fighting, via Bloody Elbow, in an interview last week.

"'No put Instagram. No message.' 10,000 kilometers, in Ireland or America, put up Instagram, message, shit? This is no problem. After fight with Lobov, okay, tell me to my face.

"I want to fight outside. No cage, outside, after Lobov. I tell him. And after my fight, I show him."

Tukugov's last UFC bout was a defeat to Renato Moicano at UFC 198 in May 2016 and his return was slated to take place against Artem Lobov, McGregor's teammate, later this month.

But UFC president Dana White has confirmed that Tukhugov, along with fellow attackers Islam Makhachev and Abubakar Nurmagomedov, will not appear in his promotion again.

"The guys who jumped in will never fight here again," White said post-fight.

"I've been working hard to promote this sport, this is not what a mixed martial arts event is normally like."
