Khabib Nurmagomedov quite rightly got a lot of flak for the way he conducted himself after his UFC 229 defeat of Conor McGregor but people will look at him in a different light when they see the classy gesture he produced this weekend.
The UFC Lightweight champion was back in his homeland to watch his team, Anzhi Makhachkala, take on CSKA Moscow, in a Russian League game.
'The Eagle' was paraded around the pitch ahead of the game and even had the honour of getting the match underway at the Anzhi Arena.
He was decked out in his own Anzhi shirt with 'Khabib #27' on the back as well as being driven around the stadium on a buggy just before the game, with fans applauding him.

And when some disabled supporters shouted his name, the Dagistani fighter asked the driver to stop before hopping out and sharing an embrace with some wheelchair-bound fans in a wonderful gesture.
Just fantastic stuff from the undefeated UFC star. He went out of his way to speak to the fans and they were buzzing as a result.
He lost the plot in Las Vegas after all the bad blood between himself and McGregor, but he does genuinely seem like a nice fella and showed that here.
