Conor McGregor bought a €3,500-€4,000 round of drinks in a Dublin boozer.

'The Champ-Champ' racked up a tasty bill as he purchased a round of drinks at the Black Forge Inn in Drimnagh, Dublin, to celebrate Christmas.

McGregor stuck his own money behind the bar with alcohol flowing including his own range of whiskey.

He delivered a batch of 'Proper Twelve Whiskey' to the pub in a great gesture.

McGregor, grasping a bottle of his whiskey, posted an image of himself alongside regulars on Instagram.

The pub's co-owner, Liam Flynn, appreciated McGregor's visit during this festive period.

"He came in and spread the love," he told the Irish Mirror.

"He bought a round for everybody in the pub. I think it was about €3,500- €4,000. He's so decent it's unbelievable.

"He never forgot where he came from which is the good thing about him.

"He still has his friends that he had years ago who he looks after. He meets the most famous people in the world but he still comes home and talks to me.

"He always comes in here and shakes my hand.

"He gave everyone a measure. He's some beer slinger as well. He must be good at everything that fella.

"He's a global superstar. I will tell you one thing, what has happened to that young lad is that his whole life is after changing now."

Meanwhile, McGregor will be hoping for a more active 2019 following his single bout in 2018, where he lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov for the UFC lightweight title.

He's eyeing up a return to the famed Octagon with most of UFC's roster calling him out. From Al Iaquinta to Donald Cerrone.

Though before McGregor is booked for another fight, he'll have to appear in front of Nevada State Athletic Commission for his part in the UFC 229 post-fight brawl.
