Yair Rodriguez Lands Brutal Elbow On 'Korean Zombie' In The Final Second Of The Fight

Yair Rodriguez produced one of the most insane finishes in MMA history at UFC Fight Night 139, last night.

'UFC Fight Night: Korean Zombie vs. Yair Rodriguez' marked the promotions 25th anniversary and the event lived up to it's billing thanks to some extraordinary moments.

Most notably, Rodriguez's savage elbow.

Chan Sung Jung, affectionately known as 'Korean Zombie', and Rodriguez embraced moments before the final buzzer following a grueling back-and-forth battle.

After graciously touching gloves, the pair of featherweights swung for the fences in a wild exchange until the final second of the fight.

The Mexican landed a clean backward elbow flush on Jung's chin, sleeping him at 4:59 of Round 5 in dramatic and vicious fashion.

Craziest finish ever?

Well, UFC president Dana White certainly thinks so.

"Craziest finish ever," White said. "There was one second left on the clock when he landed that elbow, and Yair was losing 4-to-1. 'Zombie' had the fight in the bag, he had one second to go and, wow, what a finish."

Rodriguez's handy work earned him not one but two post-fight bonuses. He bagged 'Fight of the Night' and 'Performance of the Night' bonuses. That's an extra $100,000 for his Octagon outing.

Rodriguez, meanwhile, improves his professional record to 11-2 (7-1 in UFC).
