People Reckon They Spotted Conor McGregor In The Crowd At UFC 223

Earlier this week, Dana White finally confirmed that Conor McGregor would be stripped of his UFC lightweight title, but unbeknown to MMA fans around the world, it would be the start of a crazy three days leading up to UFC 223.

McGregor would respond to the title being taken away from him on Twitter in typical fashion and soon after, footage would emerge of a confrontation between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Artem Lobov - the teammate and friend of the 'Notorious'.

It would be the start of the most outrageous and controversial moment in UFC history.

McGregor must have caught wind of the meeting and not long after, McGregor arrived in the States looking for the unbeaten UFC lightweight, while viciously attacking a bus carrying fighters, injuring Michael Chiesa who's subsequently been pulled from the card

How the altercation actually started remains to be unclear, though, obviously, McGregor and Nurmagomedov have a history.

A number of fighters had to pull out of the event but despite a hectic schedule, Khabib was crowned the new champion last night after defeating Al Iaquinta. He became the first UFC champion from Russia as thousands applauded the fighter, but was Conor McGregor watching from the arena?

Fan footage emerged during the event claiming that McGregor was watching UFC 223 from the stands, and people are convinced that it's him.

Is it 'Notorious' or is it just his doppelgänger?

UFC president Dana White vehemently condemned McGregor's actions after the incident, even calling it the 'most disgusting' thing he was ever seen in the company.

"This is the most disgusting thing that has ever happen in the history of the company," he said via MMA Mania.

"I think after this disgusting and despicable move, I think everybody relationship (including mine) with Conor is going to be not so great.

"This is a bad decision you make that turns a lot of people off and against you.... You want to grab 30 f*cking friends, come down here, and do what you did today? It's disgusting!

"I don't think anyone is going to be a huge Conor McGregor fan after this. I don't know if he's on drugs, or what his deal is, but to come and act like this ... We're talking about a guy who has a baby. He just had a kid. This is how you are acting? You have a son at home."
