News broke last night that former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is in advantaged talks with AC Milan to take over from Gennaro Gattuso.

Following the report, bookmakers have slashed the 69-year-olds odds on becoming the next manager at Milan to 1/4.

Wenger stepped down from his position at Arsenal at the end of last season after 22 years at the North London side.

While, Milan legend Gattuso has been in charge of the team he once played for, for over 10 years, since last year.

France Football are reporting that the Italian giant's board are not happy with the team's performances this season after they spent nearly £150million on players this summer.

Milan already trail table-toppers Juventus by 10 points, leaving them fourth in the Serie A and former Arsenal chief Ivan Gazidis, who now works for the San Siro side, wants to bring Wenger to the Italian club.

France Football also claims that the Frenchman's return to management at Milan is already a 'done deal.'

Meanwhile, Gazidis' switch from London to Italy has also spurred speculation that Aaron Ramsey will join the Serie A side.

Talks between Arsenal and the Welshman fell through last month and it is still unclear whether the club will try to cash in on him in January or if he will be allowed to leave for free this summer after serving them for 10 years.

Ramsey is 15/2 to sign for AC Milan by the end of the January transfer win and 6/1 for any Italian club to be his next destination.

While it is also being suggested that out-of-favour Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas could also join up with his former manager if he gets the Milan job.

The 31-year-old was Arsenal's captain under Wenger before he returned to Barcelona in 2014 after seven years at the club.
