This Thursday Night Double Looks Like A Great Bet

Hello. I haven't done any words on betting in a while. Probably for the best since I think 'I haven't done any words' is appropriate English, but hopefully I'll win you some sweet, sweet money and you'll forgive me.

I'm just going to start this off by being completely honest. I was supposed to write this article three or four hours ago.

Now, like the complete fuckwit I generally am, I'm rushing to get it done at 7:16pm. With that in mind, if it's completely shite (I mean even more shite than usual before any of you smart alecks have a pop) please just go away and leave me alone.

Anyway let's get moving cause, as LL Cool J once said, time is of the essence (why spend it alone, huh)...

Athletic Bilbao v Barcelona

Today, without doing any kind of research at all, I made a bold claim that "Bilbao are one of those annoying sides that frustrate Barca." It's only when I looked at the stats that I realised Barcelona have actually won the last six on the trot.

I was kinda right I guess, though, since several of those recent wins by the Catalan side were edgy 1-0s and 2-1s.

Barcelona should have a fully rested side after the winter break, and I expect Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Co to provide the goods tonight in another closely fought win.

My bet for this one is Barcelona to win and under 4.5 goals, which is available at evens with BetVictor.

Doncaster v Portsmouth

To form a tasty little double I'm going to look to League Two. This clash of titans might look like pretty much a straight 50/50 on first glance and put some punters off, but if you look into it there is actually significant value to be found in backing the home side.

Doncaster have played 12 home games so far this season, winning nine, drawing three and losing absolutely zilch.

It's also worth noting that in the return leg of this fixture just a few months back (too lazy to check the exact date), Portsmouth lost 1-2 at home.

My selection here is going to be Doncaster over 0.5 team goals at 4/11, which is a great price to bulk out a double.

The double of these two picks returns £54.55 with BetVictor from a £20 stake, and I reckon there's a more than decent chance of it sailing home.
