ODDSbible WWE: Great Balls Of Fire PPV Betting Preview

Yes, that's really the name.

Sunday night the WWE heads to the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas for the first ever Great Balls of Fire PPV. Yes folks you read that right, the WWE has a PPV entitled Great Balls of Fire.

But name aside this show promises to be one of the most exciting fight cards on paper in recent months with Roman Reigns taking on Braun Strowman in an ambulance match. Alexa Bliss defending her Women's Title against former Champion Sasha Banks. Enzo and Big Cass settling their break up in a grudge match and at the top of the card Samoa Joe looking to dethrone the Beast, Brock Lesnar.

There is also many more mouthwatering matches which should set the tone for Summerslam for the RAW brand and so without further ado sit back, relax and let our resident Wrestling expert Tony take you through what we expect to happen on Sunday night;

Enzo Amore Vs Big Cass

The way that the WWE has handled this breakup has been encouraging and I personally have really enjoyed Enzo's mic work which I think has been some of his best work. He has shown true emotion in all his work since the break and recently attacked Cass backstage to build up for this match on Sunday night.

That said I don't think it served anymore purpose than giving Enzo some credibility ahead of Sunday in a match which I see Big Cass running through him without any issue. WWE certainly has some "Big" plans for Cass and I think they start at Great Balls of Fire with him destroying Enzo and moving on to pastures new.

The bookies are in agreement that Cass should win with odds of 1/14 for him compared to the odds for Enzo of 11/2.

Seth Rollins Vs Bray Wyatt

Without being too negative, I am not looking forward to this match and can't help but feel that they have no clear direction for either of the men involved. My opinions aside it is happening and they have been plugging this one with Wyatt declaring himself a God and declaring that Rollins will not be able to slay him.

Yep that is about as good as this feud has gone. My prediction is that Bray Wyatt will get his first singles win since 8th May (yep that's how long he has gone without a singles win) and hopefully this will be the end of a very dull feud which has done nothing for both Wyatt and Rollins.

Wyatt has odds of 1/20 making him the nod with the bookmakers, Rollins is the outsider at 15/2.

WWE RAW Women's Championship Match

Alexa Bliss (c) Vs Sasha Banks

It is great to see Banks back in the Title picture and relevant in the women's division after a short run with Rich Swann which saw her compete on 205 Live in a very forgettable stint. Bliss Vs Banks is a great addition to this show and is somewhat surprising as I think everyone was assuming that Nia Jax would be getting the next shot at Bliss.

Whilst there is a strong case for Bayley winning to open the division up somewhat, I can't see Bliss dropping the Title until Summerslam (20th August) at least and truly believe that since winning the Title she has been the number one women in the WWE. Looking forward to a very exciting bout between these two which could definitely steal the show, but will likely result in Alexa Bliss retaining her Title going into Summerslam.

Alexa Bliss is the bookies favourite at 1/18 whereas Banks is out at 6/1.

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match

The Miz (c) Vs Dean Ambrose

This feud for me seems to have run its course and I am hoping that this match is the blow off to allow both men to start something new. The Miz has been fantastic in the last 12 months and I was very happy when they put the Intercontinental Title back around his waist.

Ambrose on the other hand seems to have gone stale and re-running these matches is doing him no favours whatsoever. It would be stupid of me to not have a slight doubt in my mind that Ambrose would win on Sunday night given how unpredictable they are with him (dam he was the WWE Champion last year) but if all is good in the World then The Miz should prevail.

The Miz is the favourite at 1/14, Ambrose is at 11/2 for the win.

WWE RAW Tag Team Championship Match

30-Minute Iron Man Match

Cesaro & Sheamus (c) Vs The Hardy Boyz

They have done a ladder match, they have done a cage match and now we are going to get an Iron Man Match between these two teams. I am thinking that it could be the last time we see them compete on a PPV together for a while because much like The Miz Vs Ambrose, this feud seems to have had its time.

The initial Hardy Boyz buzz from WrestleMania seems to be dwindling and I think there is much more to do with the pair as singles competitors and so I predict Cesaro & Sheamus will retain on Sunday night which will lead to the eventual break-up of the Hardy Boyz. Cesaro & Sheamus to retain is attracting odds of 1/25, a Hardy win is the outside bet at 15/2.

Ambulance Match

Roman Reigns Vs Braun Strowman

Love him or hate him but this programme with Strowman has really brung out the best in Roman Reigns. It was a huge shame that Strowman was on the sidelines for a few weeks but it made his return even more special, throwing Reigns into an ambulance and thus setting the stipulation for the PPV.

Ambulance matches have always been a bit hit and miss in the past but I truly believe that these two will put on a clinic on Sunday night and probably have the best match of the show. With rumours of Strowman going on to challenge Lesnar at Summerslam potentially, I think a win for Braun Strowman in this match makes total sense and given how dominant he is will take nothing away from Roman.

The odds have recently changed with Strowman now the big favourite at 1/10 but at 5/1 Reigns is definitely worth a punt.

WWE Universal Championship Match

Brock Lesnar (c) Vs Samoa Joe

I cannot wait for this match and the build up has been nothing short of perfect for both Lesnar and Joe. To think that Joe was bought onto the main roster as Triple H's henchman and within a matter of months has been elevated to headline a PPV against Brock Lesnar is just amazing to see.

Expect a real tough, hard hitting exchange from these two genuine fearsome competitors. With so much talk about Lesnar facing off as Champion against various names for Summerslam and WrestleMania I can't see anything other than Lesnar retaining the Title on Sunday night.

But my heart is screaming for Samoa Joe to be crowned Universal Champion, given how much of a fan I am of him. But heart aside, in all honesty Brock Lesnar to remain Universal Champion is the most likely of outcome and bookies agree putting odds of 1/25 on Lesnar and 17/2 on Joe.
