Six meetings today in Britain and Ireland which also sees jump racing return. Here are Danny Archer's selections for today's racing...

5:50: Bangor-on-Dee: Dance Rock 5/4. Jump racing returns today after a midsummer break and Neil Mulholland's charge is capable of further improvement following a fine second on his hurdling debut.

7:20: Bangor-on-Dee: Lieutenant Gruber 4/6. Deserves to be short price with headgear a massive benefit for this strong traveller at Uttoxeter last time. He has to cope with a further rise in the weights but is in fine fettle.

4:10: Beverley: Hollywood Road 7/2. Running well over both hurdles and on the flat but could only finish second last time at Windsor after getting caught too far back. However, he remains open to further progress and has been sent a fair way up north by his Newmarket handler.

5:45: Beverley: Mutadel 5/2. Been in fine form recently and was just denied in bid to land the hat-trick last time. He is a sprinter operating at his best right now and he looks exciting.

4:55: Gowran Park: Mount Wellington 5/4. Punted off the boards today and ran well to finish second at Galway last time. Soft ground holds no barriers.

5:30: Gowran Park: Outside Inside 6/4. There's more to come from Willie McCreery's charge who beat a decent sort over course and distance last time. She can shoulder a rise in the weights.

6:00: Gowran Park: My Direction 11/2. Winner of this race last year and operating for a shrewd trainer off a 15lb lower mark which means he cannot be dismissed in this event.

6:30: Gowran Park: Alluringly 7/2. Second in the Cheshire Oaks to subsequent English and Irish Oaks and King George winner Enable. Takes a sizeable drop in class after some disappointing runs since and might be able to recapture best form.

8:00: Gowran Park: World Stage NAP 6/4. Fifth in what has turned out to be a decent event at Navan in June before being narrowly touched at the Curragh in July. With further improvement expected, he looks a worthy favourite.

9:10: Kempton: Wolfcatcherjack 11/4. Shown pretty much nothing in three starts in maidens so far but very hopeful that the entrance into handicap company coupled with the step up to 12 furlongs should usher in improvement.
