Racing takes place at Hexham and Ludlow over jumps, whilst Yarmouth and Brighton (evening) host flat meetings. Wolverhampton stages an evening All Weather card.

Selections for the first day of the Punchestown Festival takes place here.

These are Danny Archer's selections...

1:50: Hexham - Storm Forecast 5/4 NAP.

Was in front a long time on return from absence and just got tired on the run in here. I strongly fancy him to regain the winning thread here in a race which is really lacking substance.

2:55: Hexham - Helmsley Lad 4/5.

Ran well on first two starts over hurdles without getting his head in front but he was beaten by a very decent horse in Bordeaux Bill at Sedgefield last time. That looks the best form on offer by a long way.

4:30: Hexham - Ardea 6/4.

Been in great form in this events and under a very decent young jockey, he should follow up his Wetherby victory here.

6:00: Wolverhampton - Bracken Brae 11/10.

Been in excellent form on the All Weather and 3lb success in a race in which he has one of the best amateur jockeys on board.

7:05: Wolverhampton - Canny Style 3/1.

Smart sort who won three races in a row at the end last term. Ran well on return to action at Redcar in April. Should be more to come now.

4:25: Yarmouth - Wurood 6/4.

Impressive when dotting up at Wolverhampton earlier this month and despite this being his handicap debut, he is one of real interest.

5:00: Yarmouth - Trick Of The Light 11/4.

I have it on very good authority that this sprinter should go very very close tomorrow. Atzeni rides the son of Dragon Pulse for the first time since his debut. The three-year-old was pretty disappointing on his first start in handicaps where he did too much too soon but a mark of 75 might underestimate him.

7:55: Brighton - Soaring Spirit 4/1 Each Way (1/4).

Dean Ivory is a genius trainer with sprinters and this seven-year-old son of Tamayuz will appreciate this ground and looks on a workable mark and is a course and distance winner which is also a plus.
