ODDSbibleRacing's Best Bets From Thursday's Action At Chelmsford, Hamilton And More

We had a cracking day yesterday.

Yesterday was a quite remarkable day as we landed some cracking winners.

That included a 9/4 NAP, £240 win double return off a £20 stake and £185 win treble success off a £20 stake with plenty of other winners to boot.

Here are Danny Archer's selections for Thursday's racing which takes place on the flat at Hamilton and Lingfield with a ludicrous piece of scheduling seeing three All-Weather meetings occur at Wolverhampton in the evening and Newcastle and Chelmsford in the evening, whilst an evening jumps card occur at Ffos Las. Irish racing is brought to us by Fairyhouse's evening jump meeting.

City to bring punters joy at Chelmsford

6:10: Chelmsford - Emilia James 11/8 NAP.

Tough and ultra consistent, the daughter of Poet's Voicewas fourth in what looked a decent renewal of the Lily Agnes at Chester and she can make her presence felt at this level and on her first start on a synthetic surface.

7:10: Chelmsford - City Of Joy 4/1 and Sultan Baybars 8/1 Each Way.

This is a superb race and City Of Joy is taken to score. A narrow winner on his return to action at Doncaster, he knuckled down to his task well on that occasion and can score again off a 5lb higher mark.

Sultan Baybars is quite highly rated but was pretty disappointing when only third at Lingfield in November. He broke slowly that day and then pulled hard. If he learns to settle, the son of Invincible Spirit looks worth considering at a price.

7:40: Chelmsford - Spatial 2/1.

Sir Michael Stoute's filly was sixth in the Fillies' Mile behind Oaks favourite Rhododendron in October and pulled far too hard on that occasion. The fifth that day has won a Group race in France this year and is also entered in the Oaks so the race has plenty of substance and with a winter on her back, she should have matured and could potentially develop into an exciting filly.

8:10: Chelmsford - Top Mission 6/5.

Temperamental sort but he has the form in the book and he can score at the fourth time of asking in a race which looks to lack strength in depth.

Mount to reach Welsh Summit at Ffos Las

6:30: Ffos Las - Belmount 3/1.

Nigel Twiston-Davies' charge finished third last time in a decent event and he is a former course and distance winner. A mark of 127 is certainly not beyond him over fences bearing in mind he has won off this mark and I expect him to go very close here.

8:00: Ffos Las - Hint Of Grey evens.

Bang average event and Don Cantillon's charge who has been running with credit over flat returned to the hurdling sphere with a commanding success at Hexham last time and this four-year-old daughter of Mastercraftsman, who evidently takes her racing well, looks the most likely winner in this.

No place like home for Villa at Hamilton

2:00: Hamilton - Villa Tora 8/11.

Mark Johnston's charge was third in a novice event last time but she did her chance no favours by pulling far too hard for her own good. The drop to five furlongs is in her favour and she has the best form in the book.

2:30: Hamilton - Noah Amor 2/1.

Has been in superb form in selling company and whilst this is a much more competitive than he has faced, he might just with his confidence boosted, be able to score again under a decent 7lb claimer.

5:00: Hamilton - Tread Lightly 5/2.

Ran a belter to finish second by a neck at Redcar last time and whilst this race comes soon enough, that's a very strong piece of form and the slight drop in trip should be no problem.

Rose to blossom at Wolverhampton

3:20: Wolverhampton - Le Vie En Rose 9/4.

Bred to be pretty decent and is a half-sister to the yard's Galapiat who has established himself as a decent sort this year. This filly has won her last two races which included a victory at Lingfield in April and despite now being rated 14lb higher than when scoring in Surrey, she could prove to be a little bit better than her official rating in time and should score again.

4:20: Wolverhampton - Lord Murphy 10/3.

Loves this course and distance and his latest mark of 61 for a victory back in April still arguably looks workable for a horse evidently in the form of his life.
