ODDSbibleRacing's Best Bets From Saturday's Action At Haydock, Ripon And More

It's the last day of the Jumps season.

We had some decent winners yesterday and we're hoping for more of the same on Saturday.

Doncaster

4:50: Doncaster - Desert Ruler 7/2.

Was quite unlucky at Pontefract last time as met trouble in running before staying on well to finish second. A mark of 72 might continue to underestimate him.

6:35: Doncaster - Fidaawy 9/4.

Sir Michael Stoute is a dab-hand at improving older horses and this gelded son of New Approach was disappointing when fifth at Salisbury in September. That was a decent contest and he wears a hood for this event.

7:35: Doncaster - Karisma 9/4.

Didn't have the best trips of Lingfield on the All Weather but still looked the likely winner before being reeled in late home. He should have improved for that handicap debut.

8:05: Doncaster - Lahore 11/10.

Roger Varian's Elusive Quality colt is entered in the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot, highlighting how good he may be. Varian's horses are in scintillating form and he is taken to make a winning debut.

Haydock

2:05: Haydock - El Vip 2/1 NAP.

Ran very well on seasonal debut at Bath and just got tired late on. He will massively improve for that event and rates as the one to beat.

3:15: Haydock - Maghfoor 13/8.

Saeed bin Suroor's horses are in decent form and whilst it was disappointed that he couldn't get his head in front at Chelmsford last time, he looks quite a scopey son of Cape Cross and might have needed that race. The slight step up in trip should also suit.

4:20: Haydock - Know Your Limit 9/4.

Didn't have the best of trips at Windsor and capable of better here.

Leicester

2:20: Leicester - Time To Exceed 5/4.

Henry Candy has made a quiet start to the season but this daughter of Exceed And Excel could bring his season into life. Fourth in a competitive fillies' handicap at Salisbury last time, she remains an unexposed type.

3:30: Leicester - Above Normal 7/4.

I was very impressed with the Street Cry gelding's debut as he fairly dotted up at Pontefract. He enters the could be anything category and has a great chance here.

4:05: Leicester - Home Of The Brave evens.

Comfortable winner of this event last year demonstrating that he goes well fresh. He rates as the one to beat.

Ripon

2:45: Ripon - Silvery Moon 22/1 Each Way.

Veteran 10-year-old who ran very well to finish fifth on his seasonal reappearance. He should strip much fitter for that and has a decent 7lb claimer on board.

3:20: Ripon - Orion's Bow 12/1 Each Way.

Won five races last time and whilst he may need this run, he looks a cracking each way bet in an ultra-competitive sprint.

3:55: Ripon - Gabrial's King 9/2.

Placed in this event the last two years and this mark remains workable despite the Hurricane Run gelding being raised 3lb for his victory at Thirsk.

5:05: Ripon - Daawy 4/5.

Ran well on debut and likely to come on a bundle for that event.

Sandown

2:25: Sandown - Menorah 5/2.

Winner of this event for the last three years and the combination of this track and good ground seems to suit him.

3:35: Sandown - Doing Fine 9/2 Next Best and The Young Master 8/1 Each Way.

The Neil Mulholland-trained Doing Fine was an impressive winner at Cheltenham last time. He jumps well and appreciates these long-distance stamina tests.

The Young Master also represents the same trainer and was running a nice race in the Grand National before falling. He won this race last year off the same mark and if over his National exertions, he has a good chance in this.

4:45: Sandown - Shantou Village 9/2.

Did his job well enough at Fontwell in a novices' event last time and he looks the class horse in this race who remains unexposed after a quiet season.

5:20: Sandown - Wait For Me 15/2 Each Way.

Philip Hobbs' charge has run well in big events this term and might be able to finally get his head in front.

Wolverhampton

5:50: Wolverhampton - Compas Scoobie 11/4.

Roger Varian's charge ran well when third at Newcastle in November and he rates as the one to beat.

6:20: Wolverhampton - Tamasek Star 5/2.

Irish raider's been running with credit and has live chance in this event.

7:50: Wolverhampton - Gibbs Hill 5/2.

Should stay this trip and won with a bit in hand at Sandown when last seen in July.

8:20: Wolverhampton - Lord Murphy 10/3.

2nd last twice but remains off an OK mark and has Kirby aboard here.

30/1 Win Double

3:35: Sandown - Doing Fine

3:55: Ripon - Gabrial's King
