We had a great day yesterday.

We had another great day yesterday with a load of winners and the NAP also landing.

Racing takes place on the flat at Newbury, Newmarket, Thirsk and Doncaster (evening). Jump racing takes place at Bangor and Uttoxeter (evening). Irish racing takes place on the flat at Navan.

Here are Danny Archer's selections...

Diamonds are Forever at Bangor

1:55: Bangor - Hargam evens.

Nicky Henderson has found this former JCB Triumph Hurdle third a perfect small-runner contest here. Second on his debut over fences to a smart rival, he didn't jump superbly that day but this is a weak event and he is well clear of his two rivals on ratings.

4:15: Bangor - Asum 9/4.

Fell at Stratford last time when staying on strongly and despite having to shoulder plenty of weight in this event, he will relish the ground and this trip.

Joy to light up the City and Town Moor

6:50: Doncaster - High Hopes 2/1.

Jim Crowley has an enviable book of rides on Town Moor this evening and David Simcock's four-year-old filly is taken to build on her impressive victories at Ffos Las in August and September. A mark of 86 looks fair, she won't mind the ground and should be fit enough to do herself justice.

7:20: Doncaster - City Of Joy 11/4.

Sir Michael Stoute's son of Elusive City scored by a head at over course and distance earlier this month by a head. A 5lb rise does not look insurmountable.

8:20: Doncaster - Shenanigans 5/2.

Roger Varian's charge won her third start at Newcastle by three and three-quarter lengths over this trip and whilst this daughter of Arcano has to handle the switch to turf, she is bred to appreciate the ground and should go very well.

Belgravia to bring London feel to Navan

3:35: Navan - Miss Power 2/1.

Course and distance winner who stayed on powerfully to score at Naas. This ground suits and with Robbie Downey taking 3lb off, she looks a worthy favourite.

4:10: Navan - Belgravia 13/8.

Aidan O'Brien's charge battled to a game success at Leopardstown earlier this month and whilst he has to take a massive step forward here, the son of Galileo is bred to be smart, being a brother to Derby winner Rule The World, and he looks worth backing in what loks a cracking event.

5:15: Navan - Veneer Of Charm 13/2 Each Way.

Michael O'Callaghan has his stable in fine form and whilst this son of Fast Company was only seventh at Cork last time over an extended mile, he should handle the step up in trip and deserves another chance here.

5:45: Navan - Bainne 11/2 Each Way.

Scored for us at a big price at the Curragh last time under a fine ride swooping late over seven furlongs. Raised to a mile, he is a course and distance winner and with his young jockey taking 5lb off, he remains on a decent mark.

Ribchester to bag Lockinge

2:55: Newbury - Century Dream 6/1 Each Way and Defoe 9/1 Each Way.

Simon Crisford's Century Dream was an encouraging third on his first run of the season at Sandown. He needs to learn to settle better but he looks interesting.

Roger Varian's Defoe was a cracking second at Epsom in September before finishing down the field in a race which has worked out very well. He was better than he showed that day and he will relish the softer conditions underfoot.

3:30: Newbury - Ribchester 13/8 NAP.

Richard Fahey's charge will love the ground and he finished a cracking third on his seasonal reappearance in Meydan. With that run under his belt, he should strip much fitter in this event and conditions look to be really in his favour.

5:10: Newbury - El Hayem 7/2.

This could finally be the time for Sir Michael Stoute's charge to get his head in front. Unlucky at Chester last time after missing the break, he shouldn't be inconvenienced by the ground.

Call To Mind to heighten Derby claims at Newmarket

2:05: Newmarket - Call To Mind 9/4.

William Haggas' charge was a really impressive winner at Newbury last time as he kept on gamely in the closing stages over a trip of a mile which was evidently always going to be on the short side for him. Another big galloping track like Newmarket should really suit and the step up in trip to 10 furlongs is massively in his favour. Hopefully, he will prove tough to beat and cement his credentials for the Derby.

2:40: Newmarket - Taamol 15/8.

Very well backed this morning and Sir Michael Stoute's colt was fourth in a decent event at Newcastle in April behind two horses who ran in the Dante at York this week. He should strip fitter for that event and should appreciate the test on offer here.

Haggas to Validate Thirsk Decision

1:40: Thirsk - Validator 10/11.

William Haggas' charge was third on his rules debut at Yarmouth and she looks tough to beat under Ben Curtis. Haggas doesn't send many horses up to this track and this daughter of Kodiac should have learnt a lot from her racecourse debut and can take a step forward here.

3:20: Thirsk - Edward Lewis 11/8.

David O'Meara's charge won decisively at Lingfield in May and a rise to a mark of 101 still looks workable for a horse on the upgrade.

Always Dreaming to land Preakness

8:27: Pimlico - A.P. Indian 7/4.

The seven-year-old remains a legend of American racing and he finished a creditable second at Keeneland in April. That was a nice return to action.

11:48: Pimlico - Always Dreaming evens and Classic Empire 7/2.

Always Dreaming is goingto have a real go at the Triple Crown and he heads to the second leg, the Preakness Stakes on the back of a facile win at Churchill Downs in the Kentucky Derby. Conditions will be faster here but he does look the most likely winner.

Classic Empire had a nightmare trip in the Churchill Downs and if getting a clearer round here, he should go very well here.

6/1 Win Treble

2:30: Bangor - Lieutenant Gruber.

Excellent third at Cheltenham in December and been given time off since that run which saw him finish behind a couple of slid Grade One performers. Looks very hard to beat.

3:05: Bangor - Too Many Diamonds.

Absolutely hosed up on two occasions so far for new yard and whilst he has been raised 14lb and is having his third run in seven days.

3:35: Navan - Miss Power
