A scintillating week at Royal Ascot is over for another year and we are back to a more mundane vibe with today's racing but here's hoping we can still find out a few winners.

Flat racing takes place at Chepstow and Windsor (evening). Wolverhampton stages an All-Weather meeting, Southwell an evening jump meeting and over in Ireland, Kilbeggan hosts an evening jumps card.

Here are Danny Archer's selections...

Story to create new chapter at Chepstow

2:00: Chepstow - Halinka 7/4.

Really should have got his head in front by now and was unlucky not to score at Salisbury last time - he can make amends here.

4:30: Chepstow - Quite A Story 7/2.

Patrick Chalmings' charge remains on a mark of 64, her last winning mark and the booking of Josephine Gordon is a major positive. She was outpaced at Goodwood last time and can roar back to form here.

Monarch to reign supreme at Kilbeggan

5:25: Kilbeggan - Monarch 6/5 NAP.

Joseph O'Brien's charge was a nose second at Listowel last time where he was jut reeled in on the run-in. This race lacks the strength-in-depth by comparison and this son of Galileo, a brother to the very talented Roderic O'Connor, should finally score.

6:25: Kilbeggan - Lachares 4/1.

Quite disappointing last time as he was a fine third in a decent race at Killarney the time before - a reproduction of that effort would see him go very close in today's event.

7:30: Kilbeggan - Pass The Ball 13/8.

Won two point-to-points in succession after a hunter chase third - that looks the best bit of form on offer.

King to put rivals to the sword at Southwell

6:40: Southwell - Court King 5/6.

A facile winner of a handicap chase at this track last time. He should handle the step up in trip and an 8lb rise in the weights.

Waters has Many rivers to cross at Windsor

6:50: Windsor - Meshaykh 7/4.

Has to improve again for Leicester win but is evidently going the right way and has Moore aboard. The daughter of Lope De Vega stayed on well that day and is entitled to find further improvement here.

7:50: Windsor - Mouille Point 9/4.

Richard Hannon's charge really appreciated the extra yardage when narrowly scoring at Nottingham last time. He was very game that day and this seems like his perfect trip.

8:20: Windsor - Many Waters 3/1.

I liked the way this daughter of Street Cry stayed on at Chepstow after getting desperately outpaced in the home straight. She rallied well late on and probably didn't appreciate the softer going. A firmer surface and the longer trip are massive positives.

Right Here, Right About Now at Wolverhampton

3:15: Wolverhampton - Fab 6/5.

You have to say that Jamie Osborne's charge should go very well having finished a six-length second to impressive Queen Mary winner Heartache at Bath on her first start. She should have improved for that experience and that is obviously very solid form.

5:15: Wolverhampton - Right About Now 4/5.

SDS is riding out of his skin and is a general 1/8 shot to be crowned 2017 Stobart Champion Jockey. He should have another winner here aboard Ismail Mohammed's charge who was an excellent second to a quite talented Godolphin colt who made a winning debut at Kempton last time. This race distinctly lacks the same substance and he looks very tough to beat.
