ODDSbible Racing: Glorious Goodwood Day Three Betting Preview

The going is SOFT.

We hit the crossbar a few times yesterday and bagged a couple of winners.

Day three of the Qatar Goodwood Festival looks ultra competitive and with the going soft, picking winners could be tough.

However, our man Danny Archer has scours the form and here are his selections...

1:50: Goodwood: Addeybb 7/2 and Archetype 16/1 Each Way.

William Haggas' Addeybb has won his last two starts in tenacious fashion which included a fine victory on his handicap debut last time at Ascot. There is further improvement to come and a mark of 93 doesn't look overly harsh with Ryan Moore booked to ride.

Archetype quickened up nicely at Sandown last time and whilst the ground is a slight unknown for him, he continues to improve with every run.

2:25: Ascot: Endless Time 3/1 and Dubka 13/2 Each Way.

Godolphin's Endless Time Could never land a blow in the Gold Cup last time but a reproduction of her second in the Prix Royal Oak at the back end of last season would her go close here. She will also relish the soft conditions at the Sussex venue.

Sir Michael Stoute's Dubka is inconsistent but has winning form on soft ground. She was well beaten in the Lancashire Oaks last time but this track might suit.

3:00: Goodwood: Nebo 10/3 and Barraquero 13/2 Each Way.

Charlie Hills' Nebo won his maiden impressively at Newbury on soft ground which could prove a huge positive here today. He was a fine second o ante post 2000 Guineas favourite Gustav Klimt in he G3 Superlative Stakes at Newmarket last time and a reproduction of that effort gives him strong claims.

Barraquero was third to subsequent Vintage Stakes winner Expert Eye on his debut with that form now reading very well. Brian Meehan's charge then won nicely at Chepstow and he is a massive player.

3:35: Goodwood: Winter 6/4.

Aidan O'Brien's charge has to prove she handle deep ground and the step up to 10 furlongs but she has done everything right in the English and Irish 1000 Guineas before an authoritative victory in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot. If overcoming those two potential barriers I can see this daughter of Galileo continuing on her upward curve.

4:10: Goodwood: Veejay 6/1 Each Way and Poet's Prince 15/2 Each Way.

Veejay has shown a good attitude to win his first two starts and he may cope with this softer ground given he has won on good to soft ground.

Poet's Prince enjoyed the step up to seven furlongs when scoring at Ayr last time and represents a trainer who has a fine record at this meeting.

4:45: Goodwood: Magical.

Won by her sister Group 1 winner Rhododendron last year, Aidan O'Brien's two-year-old is an obvious contender to provide the master of Ballydoyle with a consecutive victories in this event. A half length second to a filly who subsequently finished third in a G3 last time, she brings strong fifth to the table.

5:20: Goodwood: Intense Romance 4/1 and Carlton Frankie 13/2 Each Way.

Michael Dods' Intense Romance won nicely at Ascot on good to soft ground dispatching some useful rivals and she is still improving.

Carlton Frankie is a personal favourite of mine and she has been an electric front runner over five furlongs. She found the step up to six furlongs against her last time but she has more to offer back at the minimum distance if handling this ground.
