We had a great day yesterday.

It's the final day of the Qatar Goodwood Festival and we are looking for our third consecutive NAP of the meeting.

Here are birthday boy Danny Archer's selections...

1:50: Goodwood: Scorching Heat 11/2 and Six Strings 12/1 Each Way.

Andrew Balding's Scorching Heat was narrowly denied last time at Newmarket but has looked a sprinter on the up all season. He has also won on soft ground which is a major plus.

Richard Fahey's Six Strings was third in the Scottish Stewards' Cup last time but came from off the pace that day and struggled to get involved. This track should suit.

2:25: Goodwood: Mainstream 7/1 Each Way and Platitude 10/1 Each Way.

Sir Michael Stoute has three runners in this event and Mainstream continues to run well without winning this term. He should cope with this trip and has form on soft.

Platitude also represents Stoute and he relishes soft ground and this trip. He hasn't run as well this year but is capable of getting back to his best.

3:00: Goodwood: Crystal Ocean 5/4 Goodwood NAP

Should he given another chance over this trip after finishing third in the King Edward VII Stakes last time. He copes well with this ground and remains unexposed having risen through the ranks this year.

3:35: Goodwood: Growl 8/1 Each Way and Danzeno 14/1 Each Way.

Richard Fahey's Growl is capable of winning a race if this type following decent efforts all year. He was sixth in the July Cup last time, is effective on this ground and has an excellent 7lb claimer in the saddle.

Danzeno returned to form with a vengeance last time at Ascot over six furlongs but he should prove as effective over this trip. That win should give him a massive confidence boost and there is definitely more to come here.

4:10: Goodwood: Bathsheba Bay 9/4.

Looks a dodgy race but Richard Hannon's charge was only just beaten at Sandown last time and can put that experience to good use here.

4:45: Goodwood: Battered 9/2.

Bitterly disappointing at York last time having previously won over course and distance. He acts on soft ground and has blinkers applied today and they could make a difference here.

5:20: Goodwood: Born To Be Alive 3/1 and Interconnection 20/1 Each Way.

Karl Burke's Born To Be Alive won decisively at Ayr last time when well punted and whilst the softer ground is an unknown he is potentially an exciting horse.

Interconnection has run well to finish second in his last two starts and will be suited by the soft ground. A mark of 90 remains fair and he is an interesting one at some value.
