Ladbrokes have slashed odds on two Premier League strikers making England's World Cup squad.

Gareth Southgate
Gareth Southgate

Troy Deeney and Glenn Murray both added to their tallies last weekend and the bookies have responded to recent performances by trimming odds on the pair taking seats on Gareth Southgate's plane.

Murray is the most likely of the two at 10/1 (from (16/1), with Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy being the only out-and-out English strikers to score more goals than the Brighton man this season.

Meanwhile, Deeney has seen his odds cut from 33/1 to 16/1 - making him the biggest market mover of the last month.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "Vardy and Kane look set to take up two forward spots, which leaves one place for another out-and-out striker, and clearly plenty of punters fancy a shock call-up for Murray or Deeney."
