China has overtaken Merseyside as the favoured destination for Wayne Rooney when he leaves United, according to Ladbrokes.
The bookies have slashed the odds of Rooney heading to any Chinese club to a record low of 7/4 in light of reports he will head east for a £1m a week payday, pushing Everton out to 9/4 in the process.
It's 15/8 the MLS scupper the Chinese Super league's bid for Rooney, with PSG 8/1 to sign him.

Rooney is also quoted at 3/1 to manage any Premier League club in his career, while it's 10/1 he takes charge of United following his playing days.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: "The odds of Rooney heading east after United have never been lower. For a while the betting favoured a romantic return to Goodison Park, but it looks like the multi-million pound lure of China could be too much to resist."
