On Monday Sam Allardyce stormed to the head of the market to be named the new Everton manager, but a new candidate has emerged following a major gamble.
Shakhtar boss Paulo Fonseca has been cut into 9/2 second-favourite from odds of 50/1 following a sustained gamble in the last 24 hours.
"Allardyce is the favourite once again however, coming up on the rails is Shakhtar boss, Paulo Fonseca, whose name has come from nowhere to be considered a favourite," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
