Harry Kane is 6/4 to beat Wayne Rooney's England goal scoring record after netting again for Gareth Southgate's side today.

Kane scored a late winner against Croatia as England won 2-1 to win the group and progress to the semi-final of the UEFA Nations League next summer.

The England captain also set up their first goal to get them back into the game as he headed the ball down and played it across to Jesse Lingard who tapped in.

The former Manchester United and Everton front man bagged 53 goals in 120 games for the Three Lions.

However, Kane, who is just 25, already has 20 goals in just 35 games for England and has a good seven or eight years, at least, to net another 34 goals.

And Kane is confident he can beat Rooney's record, although admitting he is still a long way off.

"It's definitely possible, but it's a fair bit away," Kane said at the press conference in the build up to todays match.

"I don't like to set targets that far ahead because a lot can happen, we'll see over the next few years.

"Hopefully I'll still be fit and healthy and still getting picked by the manager. It's definitely achievable, but I'm not thinking too much about it."

Rooney also believes the Tottenham star will beat his record, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live after his final England appearance, he said: "I look forward to presenting him with the trophy.

"I asked Harry to present me with the award because I believe he will beat my goalscoring record.

"It was great to be out there in front of the fans again and it was special for me and my family."
