Genoa have set Krzysztof Piatek's price tag at £44million, according to Tuttosport.

Piatek only signed for the Serie A side in the summer and has caught the eye of Chelsea, Napoli and Barcelona having already scored 10 goals in 13 league games.

The forwards 10 goals make him the league's top goal scorer, one clear of five-time Balon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo.

While, the Genoa talisman also averages a goal every 111 minutes, 19 minutes quicker than the former Manchester United man.

The 23-year-old also netted his first goal for Poland last month after just two caps for the national team.

The forward has also made it clear he wants a move away from the Italian side claiming they are a 'stepping stone.'

"The dream of those who come to Genoa is that they use it as a stepping stone towards a big club," Piatek told Corriere Della Sera.

"If I continue this way, I could sign for a big club. My objective is to play in the Champions League."

Chelsea are in dire need of a striker with Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata scoring just eight goals between them so far in all competitions.

And the Polish international is understood to be Maurizio Sarri's number one target, while he is as short as 5/4 to sign for the Blues in the upcoming window.

The West London side will have to fight off fierce competition from Barcelona for the free-scoring forward as the Spanish giants reportedly had scouts watching as Piatek netted against rivals Sampdoria at the weekend.
