FOOTBALL MANAGER WORLD RECORD HOLDER 1000/1 FOR SUNDERLAND TOP JOB

Football Manager World-Record holder Seb Keenan has been installed as a 1000/1 shot with Sky Bet for the Sunderland manager's position, after completing 170 seasons on the game.

Keenan, who started his fictional career in 2010, while at Newcastle University, has spent over six months of his life playing the game and has had stints at Barcelona, Real Madrid, Queens Park Rangers and his beloved Oxford United.

He won the Champions League six times in a row with The U's after a 30-year spell at the Nou Camp, where he averaged five trophies a season.

Sunderland, currently on the look-out for a new full time manager after Simon Grayson was sacked last week, are keen to appoint an experienced manager with Phil Brown (5/2) & Ally McCoist (5/1) heading the betting.

Keenan certainly fits that description, with his fictional namesake technically 190 years of age.

The game may have cost him a long-term girlfriend, but he graduated from his English Literature degree, earned himself an official Guinness World Record and his friends have dubbed it the 'greatest achievement any of them will ever have.'

And now Sky Bet have added him as an outside shot to the official next manager market for Sunderland and Everton, alongside David Moyes, Niall Quinn and even former AC Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf.

It remains to be seen whether Seb will officially put forward an application for the job, but Sunderland fans will be hoping whoever comes in can turn the ship around and keep them in the Sky Bet Championship.
