England gaffer Gareth Southgate looks set for a 2019 knighthood.
The England boss has worked wonders with his Three Lions side this year, and the bookies make it just a 9/4 shot he's awarded a knighthood in the Queen's New Year's Honours list.
Southgate made the nation fall in love with the international team again in the summer as he guided the Three Lions to the semi-final of the 2018 Russia World Cup before their dreams ended when they lost 2-1 to Croatia.
However, Southgate restored hope last Sunday as England got revenge on Croatia beating them 2-1 in the final game of their UEFA Nations League group to relegate them, while England progressed to next summer's finals in Portugal.
The Three Lions are now 9/4 frontrunners to lift the inaugural Nations League trophy.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "Arise, Sir Gareth? The latest odds suggest we could soon be hearing those words - and there's arguably not a more deserving person for a knighthood this year."
