Changing Of The Guard-Iola In Manchester

There's been a significant power shift from red to blue up in the North West...

Man City's Premier League dominance this season has seen a changing of the guard in Manchester, and a literal representation of that power shift took place outside The Etihad this weekend, as United-inspired footmen presented the Crown Jewels - or in this case the Premier League trophy - to soldiers in City-style blue.

Mischievous bookmakers Paddy Power were behind the stunt, which they've dubbed 'the changing of the Guardiola'.

After 13 titles for Manchester United in 25 years, a win for City will see them win the league earlier than anyone in Premier League history. The potential record-breakers are rated at 4/6 to get the most points, and 4/7 to bag the most wins in a season.

As for United, football fans can get 9/4 on them not winning the league again for five years and 15/2 on the Red Devils not winning the Premier League for ten years or Mour.

Paddy Power said: "It's out with the old and in with the blue in Manchester and with an inevitable coronation for Pep's boys, we thought we'd mark the passing of the footballing old guard in the city.

"After years of supremacy on the red side of town we thought it was time to hand over the Crown Jewels of English football to City."
