With Britain thrown into chaos following the arrival of the wintry weather - dubbed the 'Beast from the East' - bookmakers have slashed the odds on London having more snow than Alaska.
Irish bookmakers Paddy Power make London the 1/3 odds-on favourites to be snowier than Anchorage (2/1) in the coming days. They also make it 8/1 that all schools and universities across the UK will be forced to close.

Plus, it is now a 66/1 chance of the snow sticking around for two weeks or more, which was previously rated at 200/1.And, there's bad news for football fans. The odds have been cut from 100/1 before Monday into EVENS for a Premier League game to be cancel or postponed due to the weather conditions.
As panicked shoppers head to Tesco - it is priced at 200/1 that the supermarket announces they have ran out of bread.
Spokesman Paddy Power said: "Tubes, buses, schools and even the big shop run have all been scuppered by the unexpected snow this week. And now, we make it more likely that London will experience more snow than Alaska. Meanwhile, some lad in Newcastle is still sat outside in shorts and a t-shirt..."
