Manchester United could make a shock move for Cesc Fabregas, according to Ladbrokes.

The Chelsea midfielder is out of contract next summer and after falling down the Stamford Bridge pecking order, the bookies have priced up his next potential destination.

While AC Milan remain 2/1 favourites for his signature, United have seen their odds of making a move slashed from 12/1 to just 4/1 this week.

Fabregas signed for Chelsea in 2014 and has since won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup an English League Cup.

Man United boss Mourinho was in charge of the Blues when the Spaniard arrived at the club, and they went on to win the league together, however, the 55-year-old was sacked seven months later.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "It looks as though Fabregas and Mourinho could bet set for an Old Trafford reunion - if the United boss can keep hold of his job until the summer."

Fabregas would be the third Chelsea player in recent years to swap Stamford Bridge for Old Trafford as fellow Spainard Juan Mata and Nemanja Matic made the move north to Manchester.

Meanwhile, it is was reported earlier this week that Arsene Wenger is odds on favourite for the AC Milan job.

Following the reports, the bookies slashed Wenger's odds to 1/4 to take over from Gennaro Gattuso.

Milan already trail table-toppers Juventus by 10 points, leaving them fourth in the Serie A and former Arsenal chief Ivan Gazidis, who now works for the San Siro side, wants to bring Wenger to the club.

Fabregas, who spent a long period of his career under Wenger and Gazidis at Arsenal, is therefore being hugely tipped for a reunion with the pair.
