A betting shop customer from Birmingham has won £141,370 with leading bookmaker Coral after correctly picking six winning horses on the same bet Thursday night (7th December). The £2 Lucky 63 involves a six-selection accumulator, five-folds, four-folds, trebles, doubles and singles. The last selection was a horse called Mercury in the 9.00pm at Chelmsford in which the runner won by just a length, beating the 9/4 favourite Pulsating. The winnings included a £20,000 bonus due to the best odds guaranteed concession Coral was offering on the card at Chelmsford.
Coral spokesman John Hill commented: "We have to tip out hats off to the customer here as it is no easy feat correctly predicting six winners in one evening on the same bet and in the majority of the races they had taken on the favourite which proved to be a wise move.
"Due to our best odds guaranteed concession, the customer actually won an additional £20,000 as in some of the races the starting price of the horse was bigger than when they took the early price. We are sure the customer is going to have a fantastic Christmas after landing this early present," added Hill.
