According to the Daily Mirror fellow Premier League side Everton are also interested in the 23-year-old and have sent a scout to watch the youngster.
Pepe scored 13 goals last term attracting a £26 million bid from rivals Lyon, however, Lille rejected the offer.
Meanwhile, Piotr Zielinski's odds of replacing Ramsey are now at 5/2, having previously been linked with a move to Liverpool.
Zielinski signed for Napoli from Udinese in 2016 and has made over 100 appearances for the Italian outfit since.

However, The Gunners face a tough task getting Napoli to sell the 23-year-old, who is under contract until 2021, considering they already lost Jorginho to Chelsea in the summer.
Zielinski has made 36 appearances for Poland, scoring five goals. The midfielder also played all three of his countries World Cup fixtures as they crashed out in the groups.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "Emery's Emirates revolution looks set to continue when the transfer window reopens, with two promising players priced dangerously short to join Arsenal."
