Novak Djokovic Wins The 2019 Australian Open After Beating Rafael Nadal

Novak Djokovic has picked up the first Grand Slam of 2019 by claiming the Australian Open after beating Rafael Nadal.

The No.1 seed beat Rafael Nadal in straight sets; 6-3, 6-2, 6-3 to secure his 15th career Grand Slam title.

He's now claimed his seventh Australian Open championship following success in 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2016.

Novak Djokovic beat Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Denis Shapovalov, Daniil Medvedev, Kei Nishikori, Lucas Pouille and, of course, Nadal to become Australian Open champion.
