Just what does the year hold for Nick Kyrgios? It could be a breakthrough year for the mercurial Australian tennis star or it could all come falling down in spectacular fashion. To kick off his year though he's just been done by a very early shot of the year contender.

Kyrgios clearly has the talent to win a major or two and be the lead man for the new generation as they try and make up the gap to the likes of Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic and that first 'Slam' could come this year.

Equally the 21 year old could get bored and frustrated, start swearing at umpires and stop trying in the middle of matches. He has the tendency to act like a bit of an arse.

Currently playing in the Hopman Cup alongside fellow Aussie Daria Gavrilova in Perth, Kyrgios came up against American Jack Sock and found all he could do was smile after the American's through the legs winner:

At least he knows he won't be on the end of a better shot this year, surely?!

Who do you think will win the Australian Open?
