Ronda Rousey's anticipated UFC return was ultimately short-lived. She hit 'rock bottom' at UFC 207 following her devastating 48-second defeat.
Amanda Nunes thrashed the returning ex-UFC champion inside one minute to retain the women's bantamweight title last month.
(Back-to-back defeats for Rousey. Will she return to the Octagon?)
The sporting super-star has now taken to social media to share her first post since the night of December 30th with the help of Harry Potter author J.K Rowling.
Rousey posted a picture on her Instagram with the message; "And so rock bottom became the solid foundation on which I rebuilt my life."
Despite their long-standing feud, Cris 'Cyborg' also issued a classy message in response to Rousey's post:
Following her second consecutive loss, her future in the sport remains unclear. Though Rousey's mother has suggested she wants her daughter to retire.
The 29-year-old has sent shock-waves through MMA but is her time up? Or will Rousey seek for redemption?
