Violence erupting in the stands of South American sporting events is usually restricted to football, but a punch up broke out during Olympic tennis yesterday, during Juan Martin Del Potro's second round match with Joao Sousa.
Del Potro, fresh from his upset victory over Novak Djokovic, took the match 6-3,1-6,6-3 and castigated the fans who engaged in the violence during his victory.

Military police quickly intervened to prevent the scuffle from escalating any further after an Argentinean fan landed a right hook on a Brazilian in the crowd. Maybe they could settle it in the boxing or wrestling rings that are currently available in Rio?
