Harry Redknapp has become the highest-paid contestant in the history of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!
According to the ITV show Lorraine, the former Tottenham Hotspur manager "will be taking home £500,000 for his stint on the show."
Boxer Amir Khan supposedly pocketed £400,000 for his appearance on ITV's hit reality show last year.
The 71-year-old Brit was spotted on Sunday landing in Australia, the Daily Mail reports.
SPORTbible reported last month that the former Birmingham City boss would be leaving the footballing world behind for a new challenge in I'm A Celebrity.
At the time, Redknapp showed signs of how nervous he was when he spoke about leaving his wife, Sandra, behind for the show.
"I wouldn't cope," he said. "I'm useless. She treats me like a baby.
"She does everything.
"I can't cook, I can't make a coffee, I can't do nothing."
With Redknapp going down under, many football fans were left to wonder if he would bring Niko Kranjčar, Jermain Defoe and Peter Crouch for the trip.
However, it would seem that Kranjčar is definitely not going on the show with Redknapp after the football manager confirmed the news last month.
