It's been a bumpy ride but we are here. The 2016 Rio Olympics have finally begun but the competition has already been hit by controversy after poor living conditions were exposed by athletes on social media.
Footage from the Olympic Village, in particular the accommodation, has been shared by thousands online and it looks like workers are yet to finish their projects.

But rather controversially, Team USA's accommodation in Rio is very, very different - the men's and women's basketball teams have been living it up on their very own cruise ship.
They have been flooding their social media accounts with photos and videos inside the luxurious ship:
They have also provided enhanced security to world-famous players as Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Durant.
