He'll enjoy the combat!

Conor McGregor is often linked with a move from MMA to a more traditional boxing match with Floyd 'Money' Mayweather or to go and try his arm in pro wrestling with WWE. Instead the fighting Irishman has gone for a role in virtual fighting.

Of course McGregor famously already adorns the front cover of UFC 2, the video game, along with Ronda Rousey and, in typical 'Curse of EA' fashion the two formerly undefeated fighters both lost not long after being confirmed on the front cover.

However the Notorious' next foray into gaming will be a slightly more surprising one with the UFC's featherweight champion moving on from his second fight with Nate Diaz into a part in the latest edition of Call of Duty. The new game, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, will clearly include a very active McGregor:

Jason Statham, Kiefer Sutherland, Gary Oldman, Ice Cube, Idris Elba, Michael Keaton and Brandon Routh are amongst the names to have voiced characters in the game previously but based on McGregor's Instagram post he'll be far more than just a voice, did you expect anything less?
