It's getting heated...

We're just over a month away from the eagerly anticipated mega-bout between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor, and the latter has briefly turned his attentions to NBA star Draymond Green.

It all started with Green, the 2017 NBA Defensive Player of the Year, posting a picture of 'The Notorious' in his No.23 Golden State Warriors jersey,.

But in his caption, he made it clear that he is not siding with the Irishman on August 26th, telling him he's "rocking with Floyd" and instructing him to take off the jersey.

The beauty of a recent update on Instagram is that you can see comments from celebrities, influential personalities, and all-round famous people without needing to have a lengthy scroll through.

And instantly, people spotted that on Green's Insta post, which has garnered over 100,000 likes, not only had Floyd Mayweather reacted, but McGregor, not one to keep his trap shut, fired shots at the two-time NBA champion.

The UFC dual champion told Green that he was wearing a C.J Watson jersey, the man who sported the number from 2007/08 until 2009/10 for Warriors, and that he had never heard of him.

He ended his comment by saying, "I dribble heads off the floor. Not a ball. This is not a game here kid."

The 27-year old continued the back and forth though, listing just a few of his many career accomplishments, calling Mystic Mac out for his one UFC loss to Nate Diaz at UFC 196 and speaking of how "Money May" is going to do the same to the man he labels as "an incredible internet troll."

Jheeze! That's some top-tier trash-talking from both men and Twitter absolutely loved it:

We're pretty sure this isn't the last of the shade-throwing between the two, and it's 100 per cent going to end with McGregor trying his has hand at shooting some hoops.
