A skydiver has made history by being the first person ever to jump out of a plane at 25,000 feet in the air without having a parachute. Now, the video footage has emerged and it's bloody terrifying.
Why exactly you would want to do that is not immediately clear, but for whatever reason, 42-year-old Luke Aikins did it, and he landed in a giant net.
Basically, he went up in a small propeller driven aircraft, and then threw himself out of it without having any safety measures in place. Strange behaviour, to say the least.
For his troubles, he is now in the Guinness Book of Records for the only person ever to attempt such a feat. Technically, he executed the first ever complete planned jump from an aeroplane without a parachute. I mean, why not?
The whole thing was captured in some pretty dizzying footage that was shared by radio host Ken Rutkowski, he tweeted out the whole terrifying skydive.
After landing in the huge net - which must have been something of a relief - Mr Aikins said: "I'm almost levitating, it's incredible.
"This thing just happened. I can't even express how I feel."
Let me have a go - it sounds utterly terrifying. Many of us wouldn't fancy jumping out a plane, even given a parachute. Exactly why you'd want to do it at all is beyond me.

Luckily, that's exactly what Luke Aikins is. He's a skydiving and BASE (Bridge, Antenna, Span, and Earth) jumper and is, ironically enough, a safety and training advisor for the United States Parachute Association.
You'd have to imagine that rule number one of parachute class is: "Don't leave the fucking aeroplane without your parachute."
He has worked on stunts for the Iron Man movies and was one of the people that helped fellow stuntman Felix Baumgartner prepare for his record breaking jump from the edge of space.
He's a 44-year-old from Texas and has a wife as well as a young child. Seems like the perfect candidate to be flinging themselves out of an aircraft several miles up in the sky without a parachute.
