Following Leicester's 1-1 draw at home to West Ham, there was a helicopter crash outside the King Power stadium.

As is the norm, Leicester's owner, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha private chopper left from the centre circle of the pitch, though it is yet to be confirmed whether he was on board.

Worrying pictures have come from the stadium car park where a huge fire has ensued following the crash.

Leicestershire Police said: "We are dealing with an incident in the vicinity of the King Power Stadium. Emergency services are aware and dealing."

Leicester Live report that staff and players at he club - including goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel - were trying to find out what was happening.

A witness told Sky Sports: "(My nephew) saw this helicopter out of control then drop within a second and burst into flames. He was so upset - we're all thinking about the owners here and what they've done for the football club. It's awful, you can't believe it."

BT Sport, which was televising the game, was evacuated from the building and had to cut its broadcast short.

Leicester CIty said in a statement: 'We are assisting Leicestershire Police and the Emergency Services in dealing with a major incident at King Power Stadium.

"The Club will issue a more detailed statement once further information has been established."
