FIFA 20 fans should be excited about FIFA Street's spiritual successor, Volta, after EA Sports dropped a fresh batch of screenshots.

The FIFA publisher made the announcement official ahead of E3 at EA Play, and it's safe to say that fans were absolutely buzzing after the new mode was shown off in the first official trailer.

Following on from the reveal, EA dropped fresh details on the mode alongside some awesome-looking screenshots.

Don't take our word for it. Check them out below.

Amazing, right?

EA has said that players will be able to build their own character, either female or male, and fully customise them with different hairstyles, clothes and tattoos.

In Volta, players are able to compete in three vs three rush (no GKs), four vs four, four vs four rush, five vs five and professional futsal.

Players are able to take their custom-made characters through a single-player story mode, too.

Of course, Volta will also support online multiplayer and a league where players can compete in promotion and relegation matches.

Players are not limited to their own characters, with EA confirming that actual football teams can be used in kick-off mode.

FIFA players should also be excited with the different pitch locations currently confirmed for the mode, ranging from an underpass in Amsterdam to a neighbourhood cage in London to a Tokyo rooftop.

FIFA 20's Volta will feature only on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

EA Sports has said that the next entry in the FIFA franchise is slated to launch on 27th September.

What other changes should be brought to FIFA 20?
