A mass shooting at a video game tournament in Jacksonville, Florida, has resulted in 'multiple fatalities', according to reports.

Taking to Twitter the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office warned people to stay away from the Jacksonville Landing - urging people: 'please don't come running out'.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office one suspect is now dead at the scene.

In a clip from a livestream multiple shots can be heard.

According to the Mirror, one unnamed witness said: "I was just getting my pizza and then heard shots. It was scary."

The office has since tweeted telling anyone currently still hiding to call 911 to let cops know of their location and to reassure members of the public the SWAT team are working through the area.
