EA Sports has revealed that Italian legend Andrea Pirlo will be an 'Icon' in FIFA 20's Ultimate Team.

The FIFA 20 publisher made the announcement on Twitter by showing off the Ultimate Team card for the Juventus and AC Milan legend, 40.

Along with his Ultimate Team card, EA Sports shared a stunning screenshot of Pirlo in the upcoming title.

Icons were introduced in FIFA 18 after replacing the 'Legends' cards featured in FIFA 17 and have become highly sought-after by fans of the series.

Last year's FIFA 19 included legends like Pele, Diego Maradona, Ronaldinho and Johan Cruyff.

Pirlo enjoyed success both on the international stage and at club level.

During his time with Italy, the legendary midfielder lifted the World Cup in 2006 and played against Spain in the final of the 2012 Euros.

The World Cup winner also lifted two Serie A titles, a Coppa Italia, a Supercoppa Italiana and two Champions Leagues.

Pirlo spent ten years at AC Milan before Juventus snapped him up on a free in 2011 and remained in Turin for four seasons.

He completed a move to New York City in 2015 and spent two seasons with the MLS outfit before he announced his retirement in 2017.

EA Sports announced on Friday that Real Madrid superstar Eden Hazard would be on the cover art for the standard edition of FIFA 20.

And Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk will feature on the box art for the 'Champions Edition.'

The Dutch centre-back, 28, told SPORTbible: "When I found out I was on the FIFA cover it was unreal.

"I've played FIFA since I was young and saw all these big players on the cover.

"It's good to get recognition sometimes as a defender and I'm very proud. It's not often that a defender comes on the cover and it's something very special."

The FIFA 20 Champions Edition cover star also revealed which players he would pick for his dream team for Volta Football.

FIFA 20 is slated to launch on 27th September. It will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Which other players should be icons in FIFA 20?
