PSG Confirm The Signing Of Another Barcelona Player

Another one...

I'm not sure if many of you remember, but over the summer, Paris Saint-Germain signed a player called Neymar from Barcelona. In fairness, you may have missed it, the move didn't garner much mainstream media attention.

Anyway, hot on the heels of royally pissing off Barca by luring their heir to Lionel Messi away from the Camp Nou last month, PSG have gone back to Catalonia for more, confirming the signing of Kays Ruiz, a former Barca prodigy who was released from the club in 2015, at the age of 12.

Now 15-years-old, Ruiz has been snapped up by the French giants, having already been called up by the France U16 side.

Ruiz was part of a group of La Masia youth prospects who Barca were forced by FIFA to release two years ago, due to 'the irregular signing of minors'.

Ruiz has been dubbed as the 'new Lionel Messi' which, of course, is a ridiculous moniker to attach to any teenager, but the youngster did certainly impress during his five years with Barca, whom he joined at the age of seven.

PSG confirmed the deal via Twitter, but will not be able to officially sign Ruiz to a professional contract until he turns 16.

The move will further infuriate Barcelona, who not only lost Neymar to the club from the French capital, but were also thwarted by in their efforts to land Marco Verratti and Angel Di Maria.

Blaugrana fans will be hoping their team can replicate the historic 6-1 comeback mauling they dished out to the Parisians in the knockout stages of last season's Champions League, by way of revenge, this season.
