Business is about to pick up! As if the transfer window wasn't abuzz with potential moves already, Manchester City have waded into the Kylian Mbappe transfer saga with a £143 million bid of their own.

Ever since Kylian Mbappe burst onto the scenes last season destroying M City in the last 16 of the Champions League it was inevitable that the big boys would come calling.

A year before the teenager had broken Thierry Henry's record as Monaco's youngest scorer but last term made him as Monaco reached the semis of Europe's biggest club competition and won Ligue 1.

Yesterday it was reported in Spain that Real Madrid had made their highly anticipated move for Mbappe and a £161 million fee had been agreed.

Now Pep Guardiola's Manchester City have hit back and apparently bid £143 million, money they believe they can get together before Los Blancos can get their money.

Wait, hold on a second. That suggests that City could still move for Alexis Sanchez even if they were to sign Mbappe for a world record fee, admittedly it wouldn't be a world record if Neymar goes to PSG.

That could mean Guardiola's squad including Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus, Bernardo Silva, David Silva, Kevin de Bruyne, Leroy Sane, Raheem Sterling and Sanchez and Mbappe- madness.

Reports in Spain are suggesting that Real would have to sell someone in order for them to sign Mbappe, that would kick off the Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo rumours off all over again.

This summer has already been ridiculous for transfer stories, this could be the biggest twist of all!
