The days of flailing elbows, big hair and even bigger first touches may soon be a thing of the past at Old Trafford (well, the first touches thing depends on Romelu Lukaku) with news outlets in Turkey reporting that a deal has been struck for Marouane Fellaini to leave Manchester United for Galatasaray.

According to Turkish Football, the Istanbul giants are in talks with United and that terms have been agreed with the Belgium international.

Fellaini arrived at Old Trafford as the first signing of the disastrous David Moyes era, in 2013. The towering midfielder cost United £27.5 million and endured a nightmare first season at the Theatre of Dreams, as United finished seventh and sacked Moyes before the end of the season.

Since his debut campaign, Fellaini has managed to endear himself more to the Old Trafford faithful, despite never being fully embraced by all quarters of United's support. The former Everton man has proven to be a useful Plan B, especially during Louis Van Gaal's reign, where he would often be thrown up front when United were chasing a game.

Galatasaray's Sporting Director Cenk Ergun revealed, via Turkish Football, that a deal was close for the Europa League winning midfielder.

"There will be surprises, we are in talks with Fellaini.

"We have made an approach, we are close and if we get Fellaini we will end our pursuit of N'Diaye.

"We need a player like Fellaini who can shuttle around in midfield."

Fellaini has made 133 appearances for United during his four years with the club, scoring 15 goals and helping the Red Devils lift the 2016 FA Cup and this year's EFL Cup and Europa League.
