BREAKING: West Ham United Agree Deal For Javier Hernandez

The Hammers may have pulled off one of the best signings of the summer by signing Chicharito.

When Jose Mourinho rocks up at a football club and says he wishes the previous manager had never sold a player you know that player is pretty good. A year later he's signed for West Ham United.

Javier Hernandez was pretty much a fan favourite at Old Trafford the moment he scored on his debut by kicking the ball into his own face.

Sir Alex Ferguson was so desperate to sign the Mexican he made sure he signed the striker before the World Cup in 2010 knowing that he'd impress so much that other clubs would become available.

Chicharito would eventually be sold to Bayer Leverkusen by Louis van Gaal before Mourinho stated that he'd never have sold the striker to Germany.

Now the 29 year old is set to return to the Premier League with West Ham United after Slaven Bilic's side revealed that they've come to an agreement with Leverkusen for the poacher:

The club confirmed the deal saying, "West Ham United and Bayer Leverkusen have agreed terms for the transfer of Javier Hernandez to London Stadium.

"The former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker will fly to London in the coming days to finalise personal terms and undergo a medical with the Hammers."

It's believed that the deal is costing them just £16 million, quite the steal for a player who scored 11 Bundesliga goals in 20 starts last season.

Hammers fans were unsurprisingly, considering their history of signing strikers, very happy:

He definitely won't be worse than Zaza!
