Cristiano Ronaldo's big move to Juventus hasn't worked out exactly as most would have hoped. Sure, he's been on the winning side of the Old Lady's opening Serie A fixtures before the international break, but he's not found the back of the net yet.
And it looks like Juventus is doing everything in their power to help the five-time Ballon d'Or winner find the deadly prowess that he once had at Real Madrid.
Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri and his coaching staff are looking to fix the issue by getting Ronaldo on a new scheme.
"Cristiano Ronaldo has taken this type of programming a step further, because during the seasons he has studied together with the experts of Real Madrid the evolution of his body and therefore has adapted his way of working," says Italian newspaper Tuttosport (via the Daily Mirror).
"Over the years, Ronaldo learned to control himself: he did not have all the energy when he first signed.
"He considered that being ready from the beginning of the season could be counterproductive and even risky because of the probability of fatigue, if not injury, would increase during the decisive phase of spring.
"That is why in recent years he has slightly modified his plans."
You can't blame the club for putting into execution different ideas to help Ronaldo settle into the club as fast as possible.
Juventus will want to win the Champions League this season - considering how close they've been in recent years - so it would be worrying if they don't progress that far when they have the all-time top scorer in the competition on their side.
After all, Ronaldo does look like he's in the best shape of his life - and he's never been afraid to flaunt it either, apparently.
