Dana White says 'there's no debate' on who's the UFC GOAT

Dana White says 'there's no debate' on who's the UFC GOAT

Dana White named his UFC GOAT and claims 'there's no debate'.

UFC boss Dana White says 'there's no debate' on who's the UFC GOAT.

The UFC GOAT debate continues to rumble, with the likes of Anderson Silva, Georges St-Pierre and Demetrious Johnson, among others, laying a claim to the illustrious title.

Silva, St-Pierre and Johnson dominated their respective divisions during the height of their careers.

But White believes 'there's no debate' as he revealed his GOAT pick.

He selected Jon Jones, arguing his case - stating 'it's absolutely positively' the current UFC heavyweight champion.

On Lex Fridman's podcast, he said: "Jon Jones - there’s no debate.

"Nobody can debate who’s the greatest of all time. It’s absolutely positively Jon Jones. He’s never lost. He’s never been beaten in the Octagon ever."

The 54-year-old added: "He destroyed everybody at light-heavyweight, which at the time was the toughest weight class in the company and the sport.

"And then he moved up to heavyweight, won easily at heavyweight. And the other thing is that you have to factor in too is longevity. It’s undeniable. You can hate all you want. Jon Jones is the greatest of all time."

As White alluded to during his chat with Fridman, Jones ran through a murderer's row of fighters to claim UFC light-heavyweight gold.

He beat Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua to win the 205lbs title before defending his championship against the likes of Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson, Rashad Evans, Vitor Belfort, Alexander Gustafsson, Glover Teixeira and Daniel Cormier to name but a few.

And in his last outing, he won the UFC heavyweight title following his demolition job of Ciryl Gane.

Jones cemented his UFC legacy after becoming a two-weight UFC champion.

The sole blemish on his professional record is a controversial disqualification defeat to Matt Hamill.

'Bones' was scheduled to face Stipe Miocic at UFC 295 until he was forced to withdraw.

But a clash between Jones and Miocic remains the plan ahead of a potential showdown this year.
