Joe Rogan tells Conor McGregor to 'shut the f*** up' after bold UFC claim

McGregor made an incredible claim.

Joe Rogan has told Conor McGregor to "shut the f*** up" after he made a bold UFC claim.

Conor McGregor is one of the greatest mixed martial artists in the history of UFC, but recently he has made headlines for his interests outside of the cage.

The former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion made his acting debut in the movie Road House, which was released globally on Amazon Prime Video on March 21.

McGregor stars alongside Hollywood star Jake Gyllenhaal, although initial reviews of the film have been underwhelming.

McGregor has certainly enjoyed his mini career change, but claimed that acting is harder than being a UFC fighter.

When the Irishman's comments were put to Joe Rogan, the UFC pundit couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"Listen to me: that's not true. That's not true, even for him," Rogan said on his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience.

"Act in Road House or fight Khabib [Nurmagomedov] again? Shut the f*** up, that's crazy talk, it's crazy talk.

"He broke his f****** leg in a fight. That's harder. That's way harder than f****** acting."

McGregor hasn't fought since 2021, when he suffered a broken leg during a defeat to American fighter Dustin Poirier.

The 35-year-old worked extremely hard to recover from that injury and likely would have returned to the cage sooner had it not been for other projects.

His mind has never strayed far from UFC though; McGregor used a promotional interview for Road House to take a swipe at old-time foe Khabib, who defeated him in an infamous meeting in 2018.

McGregor is set to make his UFC comeback this summer, after he revealed he received a call about facing lightweight contender Michael Chandler.

Chandler claimed he has also spoken with UFC, although an exact date is yet to be fixed.
