It's almost becoming too easy to have a go at Tiger Woods. He may have been the most successful golfer of the 2000s but he's had his fair share of controversy in recent years.

Despite pleading guilty to reckless driving just a few days ago, the golfing legend had already announced his plans to return to the sport.

However, upstart broadcaster Mia Khalifa has rounded on Tiger Woods, urging him to hang up his clubs and 'retire with dignity' instead.

"Tiger, you're washed, just give up while you're ahead, retire with some dignity," the 24-year-old presenter said on the Complex sports show Out of Bounds.

"You don't need to come back to the sport, just play it for leisure like our President does."

Khalifa threw the slight at Woods after the former world No. 1 announced his intention to play at the 2017 Hero World Challenge.

The competition, held in the Bahamas every December and hosted by Woods, invites 18 golf pros to compete in support of his charity The Tiger Woods Foundation.

However, Khalifa was not impressed by the announcement, saying that Woods should stick to his new career as a commentator.

Khalifa is already making her mark in broadcasting, having started a new job as a sports pundit for the daily sports show just a few weeks ago.

The show sees the ex-adult film star acting in a co-presenter role alongside former NBA All-Star basketball player Gilbert Arenas.

This is not the first time that Khalifa has been hitting the headlines in recent weeks as she looks to settle herself into her new career.

Just recently, she found herself being shot down by an NFL player wary of her reputation for sharing DMs she receives from sportsmen.

Khalifa had tried to catch the attention of Pittsburgh Steelers star Juju Smith-Schuster, tweeting: "You are my new favourite on Twitter."

But the 20-year-old wide receiver refused to fall into the trap, opting to turn the tables on Khalifa instead.

"Oh hell nah, I'm not fallin' for this, I'm young not stupid," Smith-Schuster replied, with a few crying-with-laughter emojis for effect.
